My name is Ralph Schick. I quit my job at ProSiebenSat.1 ten years ago to found the predecessor of triathlon.de (back then the site was still called tri4u.de). At the beginning of 2008 I was 34 years old, weighed almost 70kg, had finished the Ironman Hawaii - a big dream of mine - a good year earlier and was preparing for the Challenge Roth 2008, which I wanted to complete in less than nine hours. At that time I was team captain of the league team from TriTeam PSV-UniBw Munich.
My sporting highlights:
10 km 33:21 min
Half marathon 1:17:06 min
Marathon 2:53 hours
3.8 km swim 53:25 min
Ironman Hawaii Finish 2006
By the end of 2016 I had gained 25 kilos and almost stopped exercising. And that although I actually work at triathlon.de, a company in the sports industry. Of course, I have moved and achieved a lot together with my team. But after ten years, something has to change for me in terms of sport. And that's exactly what my blog is about:
10 years of triathlon.de - everything is still the same, but different
time for a change
