Frankfurt City Triathlon: Increased demand for the middle distance
The 12th edition of the Frankfurt City Triathlon starts on August 7th. Of his four
different route lengths, the middle distance has been in particularly high demand in recent weeks.
On August 7th, 2022, the starting signal for the Frankfurt City Triathlon will be given again at the Langener Waldsee. The event, which is now taking place for the 12th time, has become one of the most important traditions in the calendar of the Frankfurt sports scene. The race, which has made it its main task to offer triathlon for everyone, has expanded its repertoire to up to four different distances in recent years. Thus, the organizer, Eventpower GmbH, can offer a wide range for athletes of all performance classes. The Frankfurt City Triathlon offers a platform for all athletes, from the beginner triathlon on the Jedermann distance to demanding routes for professional athletes.
Space for 100 more starters than originally planned
This year, the longest route that the race has to offer is particularly in demand. “Demand for the middle distance is currently so high that we have subsequently generated space for another 100 starters,” says Annette Albers, Managing Director of Eventpower GmbH, a week before the race. "Although the race is already almost fully booked, we were able to free up a few places by making minor changes to the line-up in the transition area and a few returns. We do our best to meet the demand and to enable all athletes to participate in our race under the best possible conditions. It's nice to see that so many want to compete in the middle distance this year. This shows that our team has done a good job in hosting the Frankfurt City Triathlon in recent years,” says Annette Albers, pleased about the large number of registrations.
