Andreas Dreitz setzt auf Rudy Project Helmtechnologie

2019 Challenge Roth Champion Andreas Dreitz continues his partnership with helmet and goggle specialist Rudy Project. Dreitz, known as a strong cyclist, is next on the starting line at Ironman 70.3 Utah in early May.

Performance that convinces world-class athletes

Dreitz' favorite product is "The Wing" helmet: "It fits comfortably, is well ventilated and, with its magnetic visor, enables the best possible view, even when the head is low," explains Dreitz. “I often feel the aerodynamic effect of the helmet on my head and I feel even faster, that drives me. But the goggles also help my performance, as I can keep a clear view even in difficult lighting conditions.” Dreitz is currently focusing on the Ironman World Championships in St. George, Utah, because “the track and the conditions there could suit me even better than that on Hawaii".

NYTRON: The new aero road helmet

The Nytron, the latest helmet from Rudy Project, combines comfort and safety with an innovative ventilation system. The Rudy Project rotational impact test sets a new benchmark in helmet safety. The value of the concussion in an impact, the so-called BRIC value (Brain Injury Criterion), is decisive for this. It must be less than 0.68. In numerous tests, the Nytron achieved an average of 0.24 and thus even exceeds the CE and CPSC standards. Finally, numerous tests were carried out in the wind tunnel with the experts from Swiss Side. The result is an extremely light and well ventilated aero road helmet.

Fifteen ventilation openings guarantee optimal ventilation regardless of the driver's position. With perfect heat dissipation, the Nytron optimally supports the regulation of body temperature during training or racing.
