Mizuno is in the fast lane: with the new development of the Wave Rebellion PRO, the Japanese running shoe manufacturer heralds a new era of carbon shoes.
Two years ago, Mizuno presented the first Wave Rebellion generation: the first racer with a glass fiber reinforced midsole ( > to the article: Glass fiber instead of carbon ). However, the new Wave Rebellion PRO has little in common with its predecessor, the shoe has undergone a complete redesign: the fact that Mizuno now uses a carbon-reinforced midsole (instead of glass fiber) for the new Wave Rebellion PRO is less important. The interaction of the carbon plate with the shape and the newly developed construction and damping elements is much more decisive.

Above all, the new "Smooth Speed Assist" function is a central element for propulsion and speed. The strongly curved sole design is intended to improve the biomechanics of the roll-off and push-off behavior immensely. Even at low speeds, the shoe always gives you a forward thrust, you practically roll into the next step.
The core for energy recovery and acceleration is the carbon-reinforced intermediate plate. In connection with the super-light cushioning material MIZUNO ENERZY LITE, an immense reactivity is achieved with the push-off. The higher the speed, the greater the rebound effect.
