Long awaited, the time has finally come: Saucony's fastest carbon racer is entering its third generation - with a few changes that make the shoe even more reactive for a maximum level of propulsion and speed.
A lot has happened: the changes in the new generation are not just limited to new colors, but mainly include technological updates . You can see that especially in the construction of the sole.

Furthermore, the Speedroll technology - the special combination of S-shaped carbon plate and the reactive PWRRUN PB damping material - forms the core of the energy recovery and the constant forward drive.
The focus of the change is the sole thickness of the PWRRUN PB foam cushioning and the integration of the carbon plate. According to the IAAF (International Athletics Association), the height of the soles of running shoes is limited to a maximum of 40mm - at 35.5mm, the previous Endorphin Pro generations were "significantly" below this limit and thus also below the construction of carbon shoes from other manufacturers. This is now changing with the Endorphin PRO 3: the sole thickness has been increased to 39.5 mm in the heel area (forefoot 31.5 mm / 8 mm drop). The Endorphin PRO 3 now closes the gap to the competition, such as Nike Alphafly & Co, and becomes an absolute best-time racer.
Due to the higher structure of the cushioning foam, the first steps in the shoe are now a little "softer" than with its predecessor, but the energy recovery and acceleration from ground contact is even more pronounced. The striking rebound effect pushes the runner massively forward. The faster you run, the greater the effect.
The upper
Another change concerns the new upper material. Saucony now uses an ultra-light mesh here - highly breathable and hardly noticeable. In terms of wearing comfort, the Endorphin PRO 3 now climbs one level higher.
