Die neue Schwimmbrille von Zoggs - "Sag Tiger zu mir!"

Tiger is the name of the new swimming goggles from Zoggs. But does it keep what it promises? Our swimming expert Ralph tested them for you. In this article we show his impressions.

For years I have been swimming the Zoggs Predator with great satisfaction (now in L/XL, previously there was only this width, meanwhile there is always an S/M version for narrower faces for all color variants). The Predator always sits and sat with me like "a one". The only small point of criticism that can be made about these admittedly successful swimming goggles are the edges or pressure points that you have around your eyes after swimming.

Tension between tightness and wearing comfort

In the meantime I've also tried other goggles like the Aqua Shpere Kaiman or the Zoggs Predator Flex, Ultima Air or Fusion Air. The Air models from Zoggs have always been quite comfortable with a view of the so-called panda eyes, but this was mostly at the expense of impermeability.

So this is the tension in which I always move when it comes to swimming goggles. When it comes to new models, I always look at these two issues in particular: tightness and wearing comfort.

The new Zoggs Tiger

A few days ago, the new Zoggs Tiger "flapped in" at our place... well, I just bought it. Right from the start , the glasses met my two basic needs . The suction cup of the swimming goggles works perfectly. The glasses are sucked on and hold independently even without a headband. What I also immediately noticed is the extremely soft silicone on the edge of the suction cup and on the bridge of the nose. This means that the glasses feel extremely supple around the eye and thanks to the soft nose bridge, you don't have the feeling that they - as with some other glasses - push off the eye again.

So, don't hesitate and do the next training with the Zoggs Tiger right away. As soon as you dive, you can see that everything holds up really well and nothing slips.

Conclusion

Here my conclusion:

  • Tightness: ***** clear 5/5 stars, everything is great for me
  • Comfort: ***** 5 stars here too, I didn't even notice the glasses during the whole 1:15 hour training session
  • Pressure points: **** yes, there were the well-known pressure points around the eyes, but felt it was less than with my old Zoggs Predator.
  • Price: ***** at EUR 22.90, the glasses are a real snap

I think I have a new favorite pair of glasses, in any case they will remain as a permanent part of my swimming bag for now.
